24-hour correction policy

Lolly Bee’s has a ‘24-hour correction policy’ whereby if you are dissatisfied in any way with your dog’s groom, please let Lolly Bee’s know and I will make every endeavour to address the issue within 24 hours of the original groom.

Terms and conditions

In short

  • I take the greatest care, but grooming can occasionally uncover or aggravate a health problem, and small nicks can happen.
  • If your dog needs urgent vet care, the fees are yours. If your own vet isn’t available, I’ll use mine.
  • Matting takes time I can’t predict, so it costs more.
  • Tell me honestly if your dog has ever bitten or shown aggression.
  • I reserve the right to refuse to groom a dog with fleas, ticks, other parasites or kennel cough.
  • Not happy with the groom? Tell me and I’ll put it right within 24 hours.
  • Give me at least 48 hours’ notice to change an appointment, or 50% of the price is charged.

  1. I always do everything possible to ensure your dog’s time at the salon is as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, grooming can occasionally uncover a previously hidden medical condition or aggravate an existing one. This can happen during, or after grooming.
  2. It is possible that an accident could occur during grooming. Upmost care is always taken, but cuts, scratches, nicks and quicking of nails could occur.
  3. Lolly Bee’s will not be responsible for any conditions, or problems, discovered during grooming.
  4. Lolly Bee’s will not be responsible for accidental death of the pet as a result of any pre-existing health condition.
  5. Should Lolly Bee’s determine, at its sole discretion, that urgent medical care is required, I agree to pay all associated fees and costs. If my pet’s vet is not available, I authorise Lolly Bee’s to use its chosen vet.
  6. Lolly Bee’s will not be liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, clipping or brushing procedures, or problems uncovered on a badly matted, or otherwise neglected coat, including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irritations from excessive external scratching or rubbing.
  7. Time and costs associated with de-matting are unpredictable. I agree to pay whatever fees are incurred because of de-matting. Whether a dog is matted is at the sole discretion of Lolly Bee’s.
  8. I agree that I have truthfully informed Lolly Bee’s if my pet has ever bitten another animal or a human, or if they have aggressive tendencies. I agree that I will be held solely responsible for any injury, harm or damage to property caused by my pet.
  9. Lolly Bee’s reserves the right to refuse to groom a pet in an unsatisfactory state, including, but not limited to, behavioural issues, fleas, ticks, other parasites or kennel cough.
  10. Lolly Bee’s has a ‘24-hour correction policy’ whereby if you are dissatisfied in any way with your dog’s groom, please let Lolly Bee’s know and I will make every endeavour to address the issue within 24 hours of the original groom.
  11. Lolly Bee’s operates a strict policy on missed appointments. I agree that if I need to change an appointment, I will give no less than 48 hours’ notice before the booked appointment. If insufficient notice is given, I agree to pay 50% of the estimated grooming charges. If appointments are missed on a regular basis, pre-payment will be required.
  12. I hereby confirm that I agree to all points stated above.

Matted Coat Waiver

In short

  • A badly matted coat hurts your dog and can hide sore skin and parasites.
  • The kindest option is usually to clip it short, close to the skin. I’ll brush out what I can without causing pain.
  • Clipping that close can irritate the skin or cause small nicks, and any vet fees are yours.
  • I’ll show you how to stop the coat matting again.

  1. Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health problems. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin which can cause ‘hot spots’, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks, maggots and other parasites may be present in the coat leading to further infection. Matted fur pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move. The skin underneath is usually raw and inflamed. Matted coats do not dry properly which can lead to rotting fur and skin.
  2. Due to matting your dog’s fur may need to be shaved extremely short to the skin and show signs of skin irritation and sores as a result of the matting, a constantly wet undercoat and dirty coat. The grooming required will be to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible and to ensure your pet’s grooming experience is as stress free as possible.
  3. Due to the nature of your dog’s coat, Lolly Bee’s has decided that the kindest and most humane option is to remove the dog’s coat completely. This will involve a short clip which removes all the matting. Where feasible, an attempt will be made to de-mat/brush out the coat, but only when this would not cause excessive pain and suffering to do so.
  4. There is a strong chance that your pet’s skin will become irritated during the clipping process. We will use a medicated shampoo where this may occur. The matted hair rests tightly against the skin; the only way of removing mats is to use a short blade between the skin and the mats. Your dog may be nicked and cut due to having to work so close to the skin. We will be incredibly careful, but the possibility of an injury does exist.
  5. Lolly Bee’s will be happy to show you how to care for your pet’s coat, so that matting does not re-occur. In addition, Lolly Bee’s can recommend the best equipment for you to use.
  6. Understanding these risks, Lolly Bee’s is authorised to proceed with the de-matting process.
  7. I hereby release Lolly Bee’s from any liability associated with the above-mentioned process and any/all medical problems that may be uncovered and/or occur during the stripping and de-matting process.
  8. Should my pet need veterinary care during or after the process, I agree to pay any/all associated veterinary fees.
